The Main Courses
About 120 courses are given annually at present and the center has the capacity to train about 2500 participants every year. The center has a conference hall that seats 300 participants, outfitted with simultaneous translation facilities, 10 classrooms, 6 laboratories (among them hydraulic and soil mechanics which is a set-up for field experiments).

• Technical courses for engineers include up-to-date knowledge on:
- Design of Irrigation and drainage projects.
- Operation and maintenance of irrigation and drainage system.
- Specific technical courses.
- Mechanical and electrical works.
- Environmental issues.
- Advanced computer.
- English conversation.
• Technical courses for Technicians include up-to-date knowledge on:
- Operation and maintenance of irrigation and drainage systems.
- Water measurement.
- Surveying Equipments.
- Labs for quality control and materials.
• Computer courses.
• English courses (held in 3 levels).
• Management and administrative courses.
• Other courses (held in various levels).
- Administrative & Personnel.
- Financial affairs.
- Storage & Purchasing.
- Principle of management.
- Decision making.
• Foreign training.
The Training Center offers special Training Courses, workshops and conferences at the national and international levels. The courses deal with problems involving water, environmental or physical infrastructure. The courses consist of: Lectures, seminars, case studies, and study tours to projects in Egypt .
Over the last 16 years the training center has become a highly experienced institution. The following figures indicate the main achievements of the TC-MWRI since its establishment in 1982:
