The Minister of Public Works and Water Resources

After viewing Law 12 for the year 1984 regarding irrigation and drainage,
The Republican Decree 653 for the year 1980 concerning the organization of the Ministry of Public Works and Water Resources,
Our decree number 95 for the year 1981 regarding the reorganization of Irrigation Department,
What is presented by Engineer / Undersecretary of State - the Head of the Irrigation Department regarding agricultural expansion in desert areas and resultant works that fall under the capacity of the Ministry of Public Works and Water Resources and increase in the use of groundwater in areas of agricultural expansion,

Has decided :  
   
Article One

The authority of the following Irrigation Public Departments shall extend to the works included under the specialty of the Ministry of Public Works and Water Resources in desert areas and licensing ground wells in areas of agricultural expansion as follows:

1. Giza Irrigation Public Department:

The command area extends to the west of desert road (Cairo -Alexandria) south of Kilo 65 from Cairo.

2. West of Al- Beheira Irrigation Public Department:

The command area extends to the west of desert road (Cairo-Alexandria) south from Kilo 65 to kilo 80.

3. Al-Nubaraya Irrigation Public Department:

The command area extends to the west of desert road (Cairo-Alexandria) south from Kilo 80 to kilo 100.

4. Al-Nasr Canal Irrigation Public Department:

The command area extends to the west of desert road (Cairo-Alexandria) north of Kilo 100.

Article Two

Engineer/ undersecretary of State - the head of the Irrigation Department should implement this decree.
