Tasks

Preparing the general planning for shore protection activities and projects

Develop master plans & prepare the technical designs for new development projects on the seashores

Develop pilot projects which serve the Authority activities in cooperation with the different authorities and Egyptian universities and foreign universities .

Future Plans

Establish an overall plan for an integrated shoreline management plan to protect the Egyptian coast

Expand the usage of arial wave photos for the Egyptian shores

Expand the international cooperation between the SPA and the advanced countries in this field

Expand in establishing and using the meteomarine current recording and wave measurements

Establish net system for information and data at SPA and its branches to link all Egyptian shorelines to follow-up condition

The central department for maintenances and execution of shore protection project which has five directorates

- West Delta
- East delta
-Middle Delta
- Marsa Matrouh
- El Toor

The central department of planning and follow up which has two directorates :

- following up & planning
- following up & monitoring

The central department for financial and administrative affairs which has two directorates

- general financial directorate
- general administrative directory

Additional to that there are these directorates , which follow the chairman:

(technical offices , law issue , general relation , secure information office and organization & administration)
